Carla is the founder and owner of Best Dog Behaviour and Psychology; is an experienced Dog Behaviour Trainer, and Special Needs Educator of all abilities in all levels of schooling, holding a Masters degree in Trauma Aware Education.

These unique skills have provided Carla extensive experience teaching people and dogs.

After all, dog training is about teaching the handler as well as the dog.

Carla has a passion for communication for all, including the use of Auslan.

Carla’s passions do not end there, she also has a huge passion to help owners understand their dogs using dog psychology to change dog behaviour.

Carla has attained National accreditation with a Certificate 3 in Dog Behaviour and Training.

She has also travelled to the USA to learn from some of the world’s best dog behaviourists including :

• Cheri Wulff-Lucas

• Brian Agnew (The Balanced Dog CA)

• Heather Beck. (K9Lifeline)

• Tom Davis (No Bad Dogs)

This variety of training and learning has provided Carla with a well-rounded education on the best way to work with individual dogs and understanding the best way to work with each one. There is no one-size fits all approach to dog behaviour modification.

Carla’s passion for communication has led her to learn Auslan to enable respectful communication with the D/deaf and Hard of Hearing community. Carla has complete Diploma of Auslan to best support the D/deaf and HoH people with their dogs behavioural needs.
